Oct 31 1943 - Mar 7 2010

RONALD D'ALESSIO Ronald "Ron" John D'Alessio, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away March 7, 2010. He was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Steubenville, Ohio. Ron was a 50-year resident of Las Vegas and graduated from Las Vegas High School. He worked in the casino industry for many years and was the co-founder of VTS, an owners association for Yamaha Motorcycle Corporation. Later in his life, he enjoyed a career in the real estate industry. Ron lived life to the fullest, enjoying racing cars in his younger days, touring the country on his motorcycle and cruising the seas. He had the most wonderful sense of humor that brought a smile to those around him and filled every room with laughter. Ron was always the person who would be there in the drop of a hat for anyone who needed anything and he always did it with love and care in his heart. He was one of the most generous individuals - always giving, yet never asking for anything. He not only took care of the people who were blessed enough to have him in their life, but he also made sure to take good care of all his furry friends who crossed his path. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Dino D'Alessio. He is survived by his mother, Flora D'Alessio; life partner, Ellen Eubanks; daughter, Debbie (Rick) Aleksak; brother, Orlando (Mary) D'Alessio; and four grandchildren, Megan, Kevin, Tommy and Danny Aleksak. A Catholic Mass will be at noon Saturday, March 13, with a reception to follow, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1813 S. Maryland Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Heaven Can Wait, an organization that helps to find homes for abused and abandoned cats. Online donations can be made at hcws.org. Ron's presence will be missed by his family, friends and all of the restaurant servers across the Valley who knew him as a regular, but we find comfort in knowing that he is somewhere in Heaven riding around on a motorcycle (with no helmet, of course!). We will all cherish our wonderful memories and experiences we were so blessed to have had with him. His smile and laughter will remain in our hearts forever.
