EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

1. ERS COVERAGE -- Entire Continental United States (lower 48 states) and Canada; towing
charges are limited to the first $100.

2. EXPIRATION -- Your ERS membership is effective for one year provided you sign up for the service at the same time you join the MTA or renew your MTA membership. The expiration date of your ERS will be the same as that of your membership expiration or anniversary date. A renewal notice will be mailed to you at least one month prior to your expiration.
This program has no grace period.

3. ROADSIDE SERVICE -- If your motorcycle and/or trailer or sidecar becomes disabled and you need only roadside assistance (such as having a battery or gas delivered to you), the Association will have them delivered and we pay the delivery charge up to the limit amount. (You must be over 2 miles away from your residence.)

4, EMERGENCY TOWING -- If you need to be picked up, we will have you picked up with only the right equipment and taken to the nearest repair facility or dealer and MTA pays for the tow, up to limit. WE DO NOT COVER ANY MOTORCYCLE MODEL YEARS PRIOR TO 1980. If your motorcycle, trailer, and/or sidecar needs to be stored until the dealer or repair facility opens, we will have it stored and taken to the dealer or repair facility the next business day, the MTA will pay for the storage and continuation of the tow to get your bike to the dealer or repair facility, up to $100. WE WILL NOT PICK YOU UP AT YOUR HOUSE OR PROVIDE SERVICE TO YOUR HOUSE NOR WITHIN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY THEREOF.

5. TRIP ROUTING SERVICE -- You will receive all information about mileage, scenic or direct route, plus information on motels along the way. You also receive area maps with your trip routing.

6. MEMBERSHIP KIT -- You receive a sticker to be attached to your membership card with the TOLL-FREE number to call in case of an emergency. The number connects you to Motorcycle Towing Service O1ITTS) who provides dispatch service for your emergency.

You will also receive a towing policy which explains all the rules, regulations, restrictions and limitation of the program, along with courtesy cards to be given to passing motorists who may render you assistance.
